Affiliate marketing is hard. If you don’t know how to choose the best affiliate product to promote, or how to promote it, then it’s easy to get lost in the noise and never make any money online.

While it is a great way to make money without having your own product, making passive income is anything but ‘passive’, at least in the beginning.

Making affiliate revenue requires the right strategy.

There’s a lot of work that goes into finding the best products to promote, and creating a steady stream of content that gets traffic to your blog. This post will show you how.

In this blog post, we will go over how to choose the best affiliate product for your blog and give some tips on how you can choose a good affiliate network, promote your affiliate link effectively.

It takes time and effort, but if you’re willing to put in the work the rewards can be great.

What is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate Marketing is a digital marketing technique where an affiliate earns commission by promoting another business’s products.

This means you don’t need to create your own products, just promote other people’s.

And you don’t have to worry about customer service or shipping, because the product is being sold by someone else.

When you promote a product on your blog, you get paid when somebody clicks one of your links and makes a purchase on that website. This means they come to YOUR site first then make their purchase.

How to Choose the Best Affiliate Products for Your Blog?

The first step in choosing your best affiliate product is looking at what you are passionate about and what blog posts have done well with your readers so far. Your chances of success will be higher if you promote a product in your niche.

Relevancy is key here. The affiliate offer must match the need of your audience. It must help them to solve a problem or achieve something new.

After you have identified the right product, find out how much they are paying per sale.

Most affiliate programs will offer a variety of different commissions for various products and services. If your blog post is about weight loss for example, then make sure to research all possible offers that match this topic and choose one with an attractive commission rate.

You can use a boolean search to find affiliate programs in your niche. For example, if you are a beauty blogger, then type “beauty + affiliate programs” in the search box.

The next step is to find products that are being sold by companies with a good reputation and those who have been in business for awhile.

A quick Google search will do this for you, but make sure the company has an easy-to-navigate website and customer service department.

What are the best products to sell as an affiliate?

The most popular products to sell as an affiliate are e-books, courses and continuity programs. You can also earn by promoting physical products.

Ebooks are usually low ticket items, but many vendors offer 100% commission rates which makes them worth considering.

A course, like an online makeup course for example, is also good to sell as an affiliate because it has higher commission rates.

Continuity programs are often expensive and involve signing up for a monthly fee over an extended time period. They offer high commission rates but you

Continuity programs are the best products to promote as an affiliate if you want high-paying customers who will be members for a long period of time.

But ultimately the best offer is the one that matches the need of your audience and helps them to solve their problem.

How do I find affiliate products?

There are a few ways to find affiliate products. You can start off by searching for popular upcoming offers on sites like Amazon and then finding vendors who offer those products with the best commission rates.

Searching an affiliate marketplace for relevant products is another option.

Amazon is the largest of all affiliate marketplaces, but it also has the lowest commission. rates. So, if you’re just starting out and want to test the waters with a smaller commission offer, then becoming an Amazon affiliate might be a great place to start.

You can also look for products that are currently popular in your niche or industry.

Some of the most popular affiliate networks are;

  • Amazon
  • ShareASale
  • ClickBank
  • Commission Junction

For best results I recommend promoting digital products over physical one, because the commission rate is always much higher.

What should I look for when choosing an affiliate program to promote?

First, you should look for a company that offers the products you want to promote. This should match the need of your audience and help them to solve a specific problem.

I’m repeating this several times because it’s the key to success.

Next, check out their commission rates so you can make sure they’re competitive with other programs in your niche.

EPC is another key metric to keep an eye on. EPC stands for earnings per click, and it tells you how much money the company pays out for each time someone clicks on your affiliate link.

EPC is important because higher EPCs mean greater potential earnings as well as a lower cost to acquire customers through advertising or other means.

If you’re using Clickbank, the key stats to understand are the percentage commission (which typically ranges from 50% to 75%), the gravity, and the sales cost.

Gravity means how popular a product is selling. It should be a consideration but not the main reason for choosing to promote an affiliate offer.

As long as the gravity is 0.01 or above, it’s generating sales.

And finally, make sure the vendor has a good reputation.

Check out the reviews and testimonials to see how satisfied customers are with their services.

How to promote an affiliate product

Promoting affiliate offers is not easy. It requires a lot of hard work, creativity and time.

However, there are some simple strategies to help you out:

-Set up Google Adwords Campaigns in order to drive visitors from search engines to a landing page

-Create Facebook Ads for the same goal or create paid promotions on other social media sites like Twitter

-Review the product on your blog

-Share content related to the affiliate program you’re promoting or offer advice that relates back to it

However, the most powerful way to promote affiliate offers is through email marketing.

Another is by creating content that is relevant for your audience. It will increase the likelihood of them buying a productafter reading it and also help you build trust with potential customers.

Building an email list is the most valuable thing you can do for your business, no matter what your business model is.

To build an email list you’re going to need to offer subscribers a free gift. This is called a lead magnet.

The lead magnet should be something that relates to the promotional offer and will attract your audience.

You might give a free report on how to fix broken nails, or offer an e-book about gardening for beginners. The goal is not just to get them hooked but also create an emotional connection with your target market so they buy whatever you’re promoting.

There are tons of lead magnets you can choose from, here’s a few to get your creative juices flowing:

  • A free ebook
  • Free report
  • Checklist or checklist app

You can also include an affiliate link or two inside your lead magnet.

How much money can I make as an affiliate marketer?

The fact is, there’s no limit to how much you can earn. A reasonable affiliate marketer can make from $10,000 a year to $400,000.

But that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy.

Affiliate marketing requires consistency, at least in the beginning.

But, by creating a system such as the one I’ve outlined here, and following it, you’ll be able to increase your profits with every month.

Conclusion

The fact is that affiliate marketing can work for anyone if they’re willing to put in the time. In order to succeed, however, you need to have patience–especially when starting out. You don’t want things going too fast for you to handle, and as a result, quitting.

Affiliate marketing is not for everyone–especially those who want instant gratification or are looking for a get-rich-quick scheme.

With that said, it happens to be the best option if you’re just starting out with online business because it’s easy learn the ropes and it’s simple to get started.

But it’s not going to make you an overnight success, as with any business.

It requires time and effort–especially in the beginning, when you’re trying to establish your reputation and credibility.

However, becoming a successful affiliate marketer can be achieved, and be a sustainable long-term strategy for anyone who is willing to put in the work consistently over an extended period of time.
